Outstanding Golfer Award Rules

The award is based on a point system that encourages both participation and performance.

The Outstanding Golfer Award is presented to the club member who accumulates the most points during a single season.

NOTE THESE EXCEPTIONS:

PINK BALL tournament exception The Pink Ball flights are awarded points according to the above. Additionally the one flight for Best Ball team score (that is part of the Pink Ball tournament) is awarded 2 points for 1st place and 1 point for 2nd place.  Ties for 2nd place are awarded 1 point.

Low turnout exception:   If there are less than four teams in a flight in a two player or four player tournament  OR  less than 4 players in a flight for an individual tournament then only first place will be awarded points.  A tie for first place will be awarded second place points.

Intersite first team qualification: The winning club officer must post a score sufficient to qualify for the team to receive the full 7 points, otherwise he/she is awarded 4 points.

Club Officer - 7 points per person

Individual Tournament Director - 2 points per tournament (max. of 6 points per person)
