Geology Rocks...Even From the Air, Part II

Monthly Membership Meeting Saturday, January 10th

Join us for our January monthly membership meeting at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in downtown McKinney. Aileen Duc, a geologist and pilot member of Texins Flying Club, will provide an overview of some basic geology as viewed from the air.

Flying offers us all a wonderful “bird’s eye” view of the ground below.  Do you ever wonder about the landscape beneath you as you fly?  Are you intrigued by geologic features and wonder how they formed?   In Part II of her presentation, Geology from the Air, Aileen will concentrate on coastal geology. She will illustrate how coastal features form, how they vary from one coast to another, and she’ll show examples in photos from her flying trips. Join us for our January monthly membership meeting at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in downtown McKinney.
