Dale Walker - Lockheed Martin Flight Services

Monthly Membership Meeting Saturday, July 11th

Dale Walker from Lockheed Martin Flight Services will be joining us for the July meeting to share some tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your experiences with Flight Services. Lockheed Martin's flight services specialists are there to provide accurate information to pilots to ensure the safety of their flights. Flight services specialists can help you by providing services such as pre-flight and in-flight aeronautical and meteorological briefings and enroute communications. Each week, Flight Services provides service to around 90,000 members of the general aviation community. Join us for the TFC monthly meeting on July 11th at 9:30 AM at the McKinney Performing Arts Center to learn more from Dale about Lockheed Flight Services.

3NB Is Back On-Line!

3NB is officially out of the paint shop and back at McKinney...we have documented proof above! The annual inspection has been completed and the interior panels are reinstalled, so 3NB is officially ready to fly.

This beautiful paint job is accompanied by brand new windows, and for your flying comfort, the aft windows are even slightly tinted. And...notice...there is no RED on the plane (We didn't want to confuse the tower guys with another similar looking plane)!

3NB has already made its first of many barbeque runs after being out of the shop and she's most definitely running well. Since 3NB has been offline for a while, it's always a good idea to go up with an instructor for a quick refresher on the radios and avionics as well as the 180 horsepower conversion. The avionics are different in every plane, so it's good to get a reminder on how to operate equipment like the KLN 89B GPS in 3NB.
